I love getting to a shoot early, maybe grabbing a coffee, and sitting in a space. I want to see how the light hits a location, what interesting lines and landscapes can I utilize to give my couples as a backdrop. What little corners exist that can create an intimate space to make my couples feel more comfortable?

I was able to get to last Sundays shoot a little early and do just that. I met up with Anna + Parker at the War Memorial and I have to say, they did incredible. They were admittedly nervous, and feel awkward in front of the camera. I assured them they are not alone in feeling this way, and that there were going to be moments that felt awkward, or unnatural, but that sometimes those feelings create the best moments!

We got to explore the grounds and I’m absolutely in love with these photos, Anna + Parker have a very natural chemistry, and I think it shines through in these Selects. Another fun fact, me and Parker share a love for “The National”, so we’re practically best friends now.
