For Your Own Sake, Get a Wedding Checklist

Some of us are planners.  Some of us are not.  Some brides have been strategically planning their wedding day for 20 years.  I’m not talking to you.  But for those of you who aren’t accustomed to thinking about, planning and making decisions for one of the most memorable moments of your life, let's chat for a minute.

The moment you get engaged is such a blissful time. Quickly, however, that moment can slip into a slope of stressful planning if you don’t know where to go next! Your first plan of action should be to take a deep breath, pour a glass of wine and start looking for a wedding checklist and planning timeline – one that suits your personality.

Obviously you don’t have to stick to a wedding timeline by the day, but it is a helpful guideline to remind you when to send out save the dates, which is the first, most time-sensitive item on your checklist.

After that, you need to hit the road and find that perfect place for the wedding and reception! Once the venue is located and booked, the rest of your checklist should fall into place.

Every wedding is different and unique, but there are items that make up the foundation of most all weddings. Make sure you choose a checklist including those fundamental building blocks. There are also items that are fun and definitely not necessary.  But hey, you’re the one getting married, so make sure you and your groom’s unique personalities are on display for your guests!
